The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) and Andertons Music Store are pleased to announce their involvement in National Learn to Play day on Saturday 12th March 2016 allowing people of all ages to try and learn a musical instrument for FREE!

In partnership, and supported by ACM and Andertons, National Learn to Play Day (NLTP) will host a number of free public taster music lessons in Guitar, Bass, Drums and Production. Under the watchful eye and guidance of ACM’s acclaimed music tutor faculty, ANYONE will have the opportunity to visit ACM’s Guildford Music School and take part in bite-sized taster sessions in ACM’s Rodboro Building.

Here’s what happened last year…

“Learning to play an instrument is a wonderful experience in itself. It takes time and dedication and once mastered, brings a lifetime of enjoyment. Learning music also brings people together, develops self-esteem and encourages other life skills such as confidence and creativity. It just takes that first step which is why we are proud to support National Learn to Play Day, providing taster sessions for those who have never played or for those that might be a little rusty and just need a some encouragement.”
