Top of the Pops today announced the line-up for two star-spangled Christmas and New Year specials that will be hitting TV screens this festive period.

Hosted by Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates, both shows, broadcast on Christmas Day (2-3pm) and New Year’s Day (11.55am - 12.55pm) will celebrate the biggest hits and most successful acts of 2015.

The Top Of The Pops Christmas special will be a merry feast of pop music, with performances from some of 2015’s biggest stars including Coldplay, Jess Glynne, Years & Years, Nick Jonas, Ellie Goulding, LunchMoney Lewis, Sigma & Rita Ora, Hozier, Jamie Lawson, OMI, James Bay and Fleur East. The hour of festive fun will conclude with the all-important Christmas Number 1.

Fearne and Reggie will return to the nation’s screens to get New Year’s Day well and truly underway in a Top Of The Pops New Year special. The hour-long celebration of all things pop will review 2015’s year in music, with a line-up of the year’s brightest chart stars including Sigala, The Vaccines, The Vamps, Maccabees, WSTRN, KDA feat Tinie Tempah & Katy B, Lost Frequencies, Jess Glynne, Years & Years, Ellie Goulding, James Bay and brand new artist Grace. The New Year’s Day spectacular will also include the first No.1 of 2016.
