'Neon Lights' beauty Demi Lovato has spoken out about her friend Selena Gomez's recent stay at rehab and confessed that it's something that shouldn't be intruded upon. 

A representative for Gomez recently confirmed that she did voluntarily spend time at the Dawn at the Meadows centre, which is a facility in Arizona that takes patients "struggling with emotional trauma, addiction or dual diagnosis concerns".

Speaking to E! News about her friend's decision to seek treatment, Lovato explained that it's great she was in a position to ask for help but it's a very private thing: "Selena is... I've known her for 14 years and we've been best friends. That's all of her business, and I just want to let her do her thing. And yeah, she's amazing. I love her."

Lovato entered a rehabilitation program at the Timberline Knolls residency a few years ago to deal with her own issues and recently praised pop sensation Ke$ha for making the same steps towards a healthy recovery:

"Yeah, I wish her the absolute best and I think she is doing a really great thing for herself. When I took that experience, I needed it to live. It taught me a lot and it helped me a ton. I wish her the absolute best. She's a sweet girl and she's going to be fine."
