Matt Cardle says James Arthur's arrogance is "off the scale"

Matt Cardle has launched a scathing attack on James Arthur.

The two acts have had a strained relationship since the 'Impossible' man said in 2012 that all the male X Factor winners so far have failed to become a success.

2010 winner Cardle has now spoken out against last year's victor Arthur to the Mirror, maintaining that he is overly arrogant and angry. He said:

"The guy has a serious problem with me. We had crossed words a year ago after he slagged me off but he still won't drop it. He's constantly bad mouthing me. He's such an angry person.

"Have you seen the stuff he posts on Twitter? He's usually mouthing off about the tabloids or swearing at kids so I'm clearly not the only person being showered with his verbal diarrhoea. His arrogance is off the scale."

Arthur meanwhile came under fire recently for posting about boybands on Twitter, slating current X Factor hopefuls Kingsland Road and suggesting that there is more to life than idolising pop groups.

Both singers are due to release new albums soon, with Cardle's 'Porcelain' landing on October 28 and Arthur's self-titled debut set to hit shelves on November 4.
