Brian Friedman, X Factor choreographer, has revealed that while boyband One Direction have reached international levels of fame they should continue on just being a singing group as their dancing abilities aren't great.

Speaking about the lads' sense of coordination, Friedman explained that they should "absolutely not" try to incorporate dance moves into their live show because they simply aren't talented enough on their feet:

"Absolutely not. They didn't do too well with dancing when I was working with them. It's not that they can't handle it - some are better than others, no names to be mentioned - but it's not what they're about. They're not a dancey boyband kind of thing, they're just about youth an exuberance and making girls swoon."

He also weighed in on member Zayn Malik's dance skills, adding: "He's got rhythm, he can't learn choreography. He gets really intimidated and scared and can't remember it."

Back in December, Friedman confessed that singer Harry Styles was probably the best dancer of the band and heartthrob Niall Horan also had a good knack for memorising routines.
