The Vamps star James McVey says warming up for Taylor Swift is his proudest moment to date.

The pop-rock group supported the US star at London's O2 Arena earlier this year.

Speaking to ODE at the Pride of Britain Awards on Monday (October 6), the guitarist was asked what his proudest moment is.

He said: "We supported Taylor Swift and I'm a big Taylor Swift fan, so for me that was a big thing.

"But the album coming out was great too."

When asked meanwhile who his biggest inspiration growing up was, McVey replied:

"I'd have to say Taylor Swift. I know it's a bit of a strange one...well, my parents, but musically it would be Taylor Swift. "
