Will Young has landed a performance slot on Strictly Come Dancing.

The singer will perform on the popular BBC One reality TV show on Sunday (October 18).

He will run through his new single 'Joy'.

The former Pop Idol winner wrote on Twitter today (October 12): "So excited to perform Joy on @bbcstrictly this Sunday!!"

The track features on Young's latest album '85% Proof', which was released earlier this year.

The record reached No.1 in the UK.

Fellow singers Jay McGuiness and Peter Andre meanwhile are favourites to win this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
