Arcade Fire's Will Butler goes back to college
Arcade Fire member Will Butler will return to his old college next month to give a special lecture.
Butler will address students at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois on November 2. He previously studied poetry and creative writing and edited student literary magazine ‘Helicon’ at the private institution.
The musician is set to discuss his own experiences of blending a musical career with social activism for the University’s Centre for Civic Engagement.
Butler, who is the younger brother of Arcade Fire front man Win, has played instruments ranging from synthesiser to panpipes during the band’s seven year career.
The band’s critically acclaimed third album 'The Suburbs' was released earlier this year.
