David Bowie will unveil his highly anticipated new studio album ★ (pronounced 'Blackstar') in 2016 and he has shared an eerie teaser clip for the short film that will accompany the album's title track single. 

'Blackstar' the single will be released on November 20 and it will be unveiled alongside an experimental short film directed by Johan Renck, who is known for his work on 'Breaking Bad'. 

A 30-second trailer for the short film went live online this afternoon (November 13) and both the single and film will premiere at Brooklyn’s Nitehawk Cinema. Billboard describes the trailer as featuring "a bejeweled skull in an astronaut's helmet, convulsing half-naked men, gyrating scarecrows, a solar eclipse viewed from a barren planet and Bowie himself clutching some kind of Blackstar emblazoned bible".
