Streams of George Michael's back catalogue have skyrocketed following the singer's shock death on Christmas Day.

The music icon passed away at the age of 53 after suffering heart failure. On Tuesday (December 27), Spotify said streams of Michael's music was up by 3,158% after the news.

The figure was taken from comparing his streams during a period on Monday compared to the same time on Sunday. He is also set to impact on the UK charts this week, with Michael's music enjoying a huge impact on the country's iTunes charts.
