Jessie J finds Miley Cyrus's transformation "sad"

'Price Tag' superstar Jessie J has revealed that while she admires Miley Cyrus for making such a bold break from her Disney ties, she was 'saddened' by her VMAs performance as she thinks there's probably a better way to go about showing maturity and growth.

Speaking to Alan Carr on his 'Chatty Man' TV show, the beauty explained that she understands how hard it is to be taken seriously and believes that her live performance at the MTV awards ceremony could have been more tasteful:

"I actually find it quite sad. No I do, I find it sad, because I think she's really young, and I don't know, I feel like, I know how hard it is to try and break away from a character the world has created, and I think people want to meet Hannah Montana, and she's not Hannah Montana; she's Miley Cyrus, but she's still - she's very young still, she's only 20. I don't think it (MTV VMAs) should have been as celebrated as it was, in my opinion."

Jessie J also admitted that the reaction she received from releasing 'Do It Like A Dude' was similar in terms of controversy to the 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker's VMAs set, so she knows what Cyrus is going through to an extent:

"Yeah I think it's too much. I do think it's too much. But I know, I've been there though I remember when 'Dude' came out, everyone was like 'woah!', so I understand that sometimes you do things and you go, 'I've done it now."
