JLS on single swap: "We listened to fan demand"

Chart-topping band JLS say that Twitter posts from fans led them to change their upcoming single release.

The British group - comprising Marvin Humes, Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams and JB Gill - originally planned to release 'Give Me Life' from their fourth studio album 'Evolution' later this month, but have since opted for 'Hold Me Down'.

Merrygold has explained the band's decision to Digital Spy: "The next single has changed to 'Hold Me Down' now. For us, it was the fan demand. After the album was released, it was the song most fans seemed most keen to be released on Twitter. Obviously we'd announced 'Give Me Life' at that point, but everyone wanted 'Hold Me Down'.

He added: "It made sense for the fans to choose the single so we changed it to 'Hold Me Down'."

JLS have a busy schedule - and are preparing for their third arena tour next year. Merrygold has laughed off claims that he's suffering under the pressure.

Discussing the group's hectic schedule, which sees them embark on their third arena tour in He smiled: "We did breakfast TV the other day and one of my friends said I looked battered. I thought that was lovely of them!"
