Paul Simon and Sting have announced plans to embark on a joint tour.

The two veterans will play a series of collaborative shows across Europe in 2015.

There will be four UK dates as part of the On Stage Together run in April in cities such as London, Glasgow and Birmingham.

The tour will see Simon and Sting share the stage as well as performing in their own right. The show has already hit North America.

The European tour will open in Poland on March 12, with the UK dates taking place over April 10-15.

Tickets for the British shows will go on sale from September 12. The UK schedule is as follows:

• April 10 - Glasgow, Hydro
• April 12 - Birmingham, LG Arena
• April 13 - Manchester, Arena
• April 15 - London, O2 Arena
