Demi Lovato has marked her return to music by filming a brand new video. 

The actress and singer, who went into rehab earlier this year to deal with bipolar disorder, teased fans about a brand new project during the week and eventually revealed on Twitter that she was in the desert making a new music video:

".................... SHOOTING A NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR MY NEW SINGLE!!!! ARE YOU EXCITED??? :D"

"So this one time... I was in the middle of the desert...... After a long day of shooting.. We are finally headed back home!! We did it!! Now plane party!"

Writing to fans this morning, June 17, she thanked them for their continued support and expressed her excitement about progressing in her career:

"Feels amazing to have shot a music video when 8 mo. ago I was terrified of the camera... Very thankful. Couldn't have do e it without yall. I love the friends I have today.. The support I have from them has gotten me so far... We're back baby!!"

"Seriously guys.. We all know this last year hasn't been the easiest... But today we officially came back.."
