Kasabian's Tom Meighan has revealed that he has been working on some music independently of his band. 

The 'Switchblade Smiles' hitmaker may have just released his new album, 'Velociraptor!', with the rock group but he explained to Q magazine that there are a few ideas up his sleeve that could potentially see him go in his own direction.

"I've got quite a few songs of my own now. I don't want to make too big a deal of it, but it would be nice to put something out between Kasabian (records) when I get the chance."
