Earlier today, music retailer HMV uploaded a page that appeared to reveal Amelia Lily as the winner of this year's X Factor. 

The special page had been set up to allow fans of the talented vocalist to buy her 'X Factor 2011 Winners Single' for £3.99 despite the fact that the show's final isn't set to take place until this coming weekend. 

It is common knowledge that both online stores and online news sources often prepare stories or pages ahead of time where televised talent contests are concerned, in order to be the first to confirm the information, but HMV's slip up has since been deleted. 

The awkward accident has, tonight, December 6, made it into the Top Ten Worldwide trending topics list on social networking site Twitter and viewers have been openly discussing what this could potentially mean for the upcoming final.
