Rihanna working on "stadium anthems", says songwriter

Songwriter Claude Kelly has revealed that he's working on "stadium" songs for Rihanna's next album.

The wheels are in motion for the follow-up to the singer's 2011 effort 'Talk That Talk' and Kelly told Kempire Radio a little bit more about the project.

The songwriter, who has worked with the likes of Britney Spears and Jessie J, said that he has collaborated with stars such as David Guetta and Sia on new album tracks.

Kelly added that he is hoping to reflect Rihanna's status as a major live performer in the new songs. He said:

"Rihanna's a worldwide superstar at this point and she's performing in stadiums and arenas now, so I wanted songs that reflected her audience."

He continued: "When I was in London she was performing at a festival in front of like 30,000 to 40,000 people. So I didn't want small songs that only worked on radio, so I tried to do anthemic big stadium-themed songs."
