James Arthur leapfrogged by The Justice Collective in Christmas No.1 race

The X Factor winner's single has dropped to No.2 in the UK charts as the race for the Christmas No.1 truly hots up.

As previously reported, James Arthur - who won the 2012 series of the TV talent show - was currently sitting pretty at the top of the singles chart ahead of Christmas with his track 'Impossible'.

In second place were The Justice Collective - a group of musicians including Sir Paul McCartney and Robbie Williams - who have recorded a version of the track 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother' in aid of the families who suffered in the 1989 Hillsborough disaster.

However, the Official Charts Company have today (December 19) confirmed that The Justice Collective have usurped Arthur at the top of the chart.

The single is now 3,400 units in front of the X Factor star ahead of the Christmas No.1 unveiling on Sunday (December 23).
