The Justice Collective claim mid-week singles win

The Justice Collective have knocked X Factor winner James Arthur from the midweek singles top spot as the race for the Christmas No.1 heats up.

The TV talent show champ was currently riding high at the top of the chart with his track 'Impossible' after scoring a No. 1 with his debut track last Sunday.

It was revealed earlier today that The Justice Collective - a group of musicians including Sir Paul McCartney, Mel C and Robbie Williams - were currently gaining momentum after lagging behind Arthur in the race to this week's coveted No. 1 spot.

The group have recorded a version of the track 'He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother' in aid of the families who suffered in the 1989 Hillsborough disaster, and the Official Midweek Chart Update has revealed this afternoon they are now on course for the Christmas No. 1.

will.i.am's newest track featuring Britney Spears 'Scream & Shout' has also dropped down a place to No. 3, while Rihanna's haunting ballad 'Stay' is up two places to No. 4.

Bruno Mars - who scored a No. 1 album last week with 'Unorthodox Jukebox' is currently at No 5. with 'Locked Out Of Heaven'.

Olly Murs is down one place to No. 6 with his chart-topping hit 'Troublemaker' while Taylor Swift's catchy new tunes 'I Knew You Were Trouble' has climbed four places to No. 7.
