Jahmene Douglas is currently "grieving the loss of [his] X Factor family".

The X Factor runner-up - who has signed a record deal with Sony - enjoyed a famously close relationship with his fellow contestants, including champ James Arthur, Ella Henderson, Jade Ellis, Union J and Kye Sones.

Douglas - who has already signed his first commercial deal with his former employer Asda - can't wait to be reunited with his friends on the long-awaited X Factor tour in January.

He told the Mail Online: "I feel so blessed by the whole X Factor experience and it so exciting that I am recording for Asda. Over the last two weeks I have been sleeping and grieving the loss of my X Factor family. I love my X Factor family. Union J and James Arthurs are like my brothers and I love Jade Ellis too."

He added: "In May I was working out how to make my way up the ladder in Asda but I took a risk and it paid off and I am just taking it all step by step. Reuniting with everyone for the tour will be emotional. It will be nice to have no judging panel."
