Beauty Michelle Williams, who found fame with Destiny's Child, has signed up to be a part of the 'Fela!' cast.

The popular musical is essentially a biography of Nigerian musician and activist Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Williams will be present when the new tour opens at the Sidney Harman Hall in Washington, D.C., on January 29.

This isn't the singer's first foray into the arts as she has previously starred in the London production of 'Chicago', on Broadway in 'Aida', and also toured as part of the ensemble for 'The Color Purple'.

'Fela!' will play 16 cities, including dates in Seattle and Miami, and Williams is set to play the role of Fela's African-American lover, Sandra Isadore.
