Melanie C clears up 'silly' press rumours: 'I'm not sick of seeing David Beckham in his pants!'

Spice Girls beauty Mel C has clarified several stories reported about her in the media recently and branded the gossip as being nothing more than "silly stories".

The songstress was referring to two separate things she is supposed to have said, one of which was that she is tired of seeing footballer David Beckham posing in next to nothing for advertising campaigns. Of that rumour, Mel C explained:

"Recently one said I was sick of seeing David Beckham in his pants. I'd just like to reassure David that isn't the case. We've all had silly stories written about us."

She also cleared up reports that suggested the Spice Girls were looking to replace member Victoria Beckham, who didn't take part in group photographs during the launch night of the musical 'Viva Forever!':

"Another said we were going to do an X Factor-style show to find a replacement for Victoria [Beckham], which was absolute rubbish. We'd never replace any of the Spice Girls."
