Last year, the Spice Girls' musical 'Viva Forever!' launched in London and member Victoria Beckham surprised fans and the media alike after turning up separately from the other girls and not appearing in any group photographs.

Speaking to Britain's Mail On Sunday yesterday (April 14), songstress Mel C explained that she was upset when Beckham declined to pose for group shots, but understands that she probably wanted the evening to be more about her family:

"We were disappointed that Victoria didn't arrive with us on the red carpet at the premiere, I'm not going to lie. For her, that evening was about her family, and that's what she wanted to do."

The 'I Turn To You' hitmaker added: "But we're all grown-ups and we've been through so much. If somebody wants to do something a certain way, then we are not going to kick up a fuss about it."

Meanwhile, Mel C took to her official Twitter page yesterday and lived up to her Spice Girls nickname of 'Sporty' by encouraging fans to sponsor a charity for the upcoming London Marathon: "A week today is the London Marathon, don't forget to sponsor somebody. What they are doing is incredible #Imightbesportybutimnotthatsporty!"
