Pop princess Britney Spears wants Miley Cyrus to teach her how to twerk.

Cyrus proved an online hit earlier this year by uploading a video of herself performing the dance move.

Wikipedia says that a twerk is a "dance move that involves a person shaking their hips and bottom in a bouncy up and down motion, causing it to shake, wobble and jiggle".

Cyrus performs the suggestive dance move in her new video for 'We Can't Stop', and Spears tweeted the songstress earlier today to ask for her help in perfecting the skill.

She wrote: "Loving your new video for #WeCantStop @MileyCyrus! Maybe you can teach me how to twerk sometime LOL ;) xo (sic)."

Cyrus later re-tweeted Spears' request.

'We Can't Stop' is the lead single off of Cyrus' upcoming album, and the star unveiled the new promo for the hit song earlier this week.

Cyrus caused buzz on Twitter ahead of the hotly-anticipated reveal writing to fans: "Seriously can not wait for you all to see the #WeCantStop music video tomorrow. Love y'all xo (sic)."

The 'We Can't Stop' video sees Cyrus and a group of friends enjoying a crazy house party.
