Professor Green knows the music industry is disposable

Professor Green has been holed up in the studio for the past few months working relentlessly on perfecting his sophomore album before its release because "with the way music is now, you can’t afford to take years off."

The 'Just Be Good To Green' rapper acknowledges that the industry won't wait for artists who take big gaps between the unveiling of new material, and told The Daily Star that he's powering through to get his record finished:

"That’s how people become forgotten. Plus you don’t know what radio is going to do."

“For the moment urban music is at the forefront of everything but we’ve all seen what happened to guitar music. There’s nothing to say that my position is solidified. That’s why I’ll be working hard to make sure I’m still here.”
