Sarah Harding wanted Girls Aloud for Olympic performance after seeing the Spice Girls

Platinum haired singer Sarah Harding has revealed that while watching the Olympic Closing Ceremony she wished Girls Aloud had reunited like the Spice Girls did for the show.

In a new interview with Hello magazine, she explained that seeing the well-loved girl group's homecoming performance made her nostalgic and she now can't wait to get back on the stage with her band:

"When I watched the Spice Girls on stage at the Olympic closing ceremony I did think, 'I want that to be us'."

"We needed a break, time to do our own things, but now we're starting to feel really nostalgic about the 10 years we've been a band and really want to mark it with something special."

In addition to talking openly about her music career, Harding spoke about her life since splitting from fiance Tom Crane and admitted that she has "done a lot of healing":

"I've done a lot of healing, a lot of thinking. I went through a break-up with a man I'd been with for five years and who I planned to marry and start a family with and it was horrendous."

"I hit rock bottom and went off the rails. I needed to find myself again and I really feel I've done that and turned a corner. I finally feel I'm in a really good place in my life."
