The Killers last night covered Oasis classic ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ during their set at V Festival.

The US rock quartet, who were appearing at the Staffordshire leg of the two-day event, performed an acoustic rendition of the Noel Gallagher-sung 1996 number one after frontman Brandon Flowers said:

"We're going to pay tribute to one of the UK's finest.'' 

The ‘Human’ hitmakers, who previewed two tracks from their upcoming fourth studio album, ‘Battle Born,’ also covered Joy Division’s ‘Shadowplay’ in their 17-song set before finishing with their biggest UK hit, 'When You Were Young,' with Flowers telling the crowd:

"Thank you for staying around for us, we really appreciate it".
