The Killers: 'Sir Elton John inspired us with a song title'

Las Vegas rockers The Killers have admitted that Sir Elton John had a big influence on their brand new album, 'Battle Born'.

The record, which will be officially released on September 18, features a song called 'Miss Atomic Bomb' and frontman Brandon Flowers revealed to Britain's The Sun newspaper that Sir Elton donated the title to them following a meeting:

"He just said, 'Do you like titles?'... he writes pages of titles before lyrics."

"I didn't come up with 'Miss Atomic Bomb', but I was reading something about Nevada history shortly after that and that just jumped out. That's such a strong title, a great launching pad."

The Killers recently announced details of a UK arena tour for October and they will kick off the dates at Glasgow's SECC on October 26. The final show is confirmed to take place on November 17 at London's O2 Arena.
