The Wanted star Max George has defended Lindsay Lohan after her recent arrest.

The actress was recently detained on suspicion of assaulting another woman at a New York night club.

It had been reported that the alleged fight involved singer George, with Lohan said to have been jealous of the other female after the 'I Found You' maestro started speaking to her.

George was recently questioned by TMZ about the alleged incident, with the celebrity website asking if he hopes Lohan gets out of trouble. He replied:

"She's fine. She's out of trouble. She's a good girl."

The Wanted star had previously distanced himself from any involvement in the reported incident, saying:

"It wasn't me. I didn't instigate anything. It was nothing to do with me."
