The Wanted could be "arrested" if One Direction feud escalates

The Wanted say they could be arrested or have their Visas taken from them if their apparent feud with One Direction continues to grow.

The 'I Found You' stars were recently embroiled in a Twitter spat with One Direction's Zayn Malik, who traded insults with Max George over the social networking website.

Both acts are playing a Christmas concert at New York's Madison Square Garden on Friday (December 7) and The Wanted had previously invited One Direction to meet with them and sort out their differences.

However, Max George told MTV that they could find themselves in trouble if they do indeed rendezvous with the 'Take Me Home' group. He said:

"It started off as plain fun I think and then I think one of them started getting a bit arsey and started getting a bit serious. We tried to play off still as a joke but then it carried on so we just put it out there, 'If you got an actual problem come see us in New York'. But I'm not sure they will, I think people have been in contact saying if we go near them we can have our Visas taken off of us and all this s**t."

Bandmate Nathan Sykes added: "And get arrested, apparently."

George continued: "Well we don't care. It's nothing we haven't done before so we'll see."
