Meghan Trainor opens up about her father's amazing support

'All About That Bass' sensation Meghan Trainor has revealed that she really values her father's opinion on her work and she constantly looks to him for his nod of approval.

During a chat with Britain's Fabulous magazine, Trainor explained that having him at the GRAMMYs with her was amazing, but he's also the reason she burst into tears and struggled to contain her emotions:

"When they called my name I didn't believe it at all. Then my dad set me off crying. Throughout my whole career, either as a songwriter or artist, I'd ask him, 'Did I make it yet, Dad?' So we were sitting in the auditorium, they called out: 'Meghan Trainor' and my dad whispered to me: 'You made it'. I just broke down."

Trainor went onto add that having other famous music stars congratulate her on the GRAMMYs win was amazing: "I was like 'You're Ed Sheeran, and you're talking to me?' It feels so unreal, as though I'm watching a movie. I have 'pinch me' moments every day: singing with Lionel Richie - I'm like 'Why am I here?' - meeting my idols."
