Singer Nick Jonas has hit out at people who criticise pop artists just because they're an easy target when they have no credentials within the industry themselves. 

The 'Chains' hitmaker took to Twitter this morning and posted the following messages:

"It's pretty ridiculous sometimes the negative bias shown towards pop artists by people who have no real credentials to be commenting on vocal technique and overall ability. Credibility shouldn't be defined by a lack of acceptance for commercially successful material."

The heartthrob added that while he mostly keeps his opinions to himself, sometimes he feels a need to speak up and address certain things: "I rarely sound off... But sometimes people just don't know how stupid they look and sound in an attempt to appear intelligent."
