American beauty Selena Gomez has revealed that she was so excited to learn that she shares a birthday with the newly born royal baby.

Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed their first child, a son named George Alexander Louis, on July 22 and the 'Come & Get It' hitmaker told E! News that it was great to find out about the coincidence:

"How crazy is that?! I share my birthday with the royal baby, that's crazy! I'm never going to forget that ever in my life. It's crazy, I thought that was so cool. I was doing press the actual day of my birthday, so they were telling me and they were keeping me updated [on the birth] and it was cool. I'm honoured."

Gomez also joked that the young prince will probably steal her 'birthday thunder' from now own, adding:

"Everyone's going to say happy birthday to me and I'm going to be like, 'But honestly, it's the royal baby's birthday.' That's what I'm going to say."
