Blur's Damon Albarn thinks popstars are too interested in 'themselves'Blur frontman Damon Albarn has criticised the current generation of popstars. The singer told The Sunday Times that he believes today's music stars are too interested in themselves and not wider issues. He said: "Young artists talk about themselves, not what's happening out there. It's the selfie generation. They're talking platitudes. The upcoming UK general election is due to take place on May 7. Albarn added to the Sunday Times that he would ideally like to see a coalition between Labour and the Green Party. Blur meanwhile will release their new album 'The Magic Whip' on April 27.
