Linkin Park announce new album details

Linkin Park have confirmed the release date of their next album.

The US rock act will unleash 'The Hunting Party' on June 17 as they follow-up their 2012 record 'Living Things'.

The band also issued the album's artwork, which sees a computer generated archer preparing to shoot.

Mike Shinoda meanwhile told Noisey that the group spent some time honing their sound on the record.

He said: "What's worked for us in the past is stick to our guns as far as what our creative vision is, spend a lot of time on it, and really craft it.

"On this record, we spent six months in the studio [and] probably six more out of the studio in addition, just coming up with demos and throwing them away."

Linkin Park meanwhile are due to headline this year's Download Festival on June 14, with the band set to play their 'Hybrid Theory' album in full.
