Meghan Trainor shuts down 'Harry Styles love song duet' reports

Just under a year ago, Meghan Trainor revealed that she had written a song on her ukelele with the help of One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles.

Trainor described the young sensation as a "super-talented" writer and told Teen Vogue that it's called 'Someday Maybe':

"It’s a cute little number called ‘Someday Maybe.’ It needs a good home. Harry was super-talented at writing, and his lyrics were incredible — probably my favourite lyrics in a song. I remember I wrote it at midnight the night before and sent it to my mom. I was so worried he was going to hate it.”

Further details on the creative meeting of minds have yet to be shared, but the 'All About That Bass' beauty recently told London's Metro newspaper that the song could be released in the near future: "We only wrote that one song that will hopefully come out soon."

Now, OK! Magazine have tweeted that "acoustic love song duet between Harry Styles and Meghan Trainor will be released shortly" and Trainor took to Twitter to shut down the report, simply writing "false". The track, from what we know about it so far, is more likely to be a songwriting collaboration than an actual duet.
