Dr. Dre to 'take a break' from musicThe future of Dr. Dre's 'Detox' album has been thrown into uncertainty after the heavyweight rapper revealed he is going to take a break from music for a "little bit". Speaking to Fader TV, the superstar explained that he's barely had any time off during his 27-year career so wants to "wrap it up for a minute" until he feels that pull to return to the studio: "I've been working on music for 27 years now, and the longest I've ever been out of the studio in 27 years has been two weeks. I'm never gonna stop music, it's like air to me. I'm gonna take a little bit of a break, enjoy some time with the family." Although Dre isn't retiring, he confirmed that he will step away from music "until I get that itch to get back in" and his highly-anticipated - and repeatedly delayed - new record will be put on hold.
