Chris Brown to complete 1000 hours of community service

Chris Brown has had his probation reinstated after agreeing to complete 1000 hours of community service.

The American R&B star had his probation revoked in July due to charges of a hit-and-run traffic accident in May. Chris Brown was cleared of the charges earlier this week.

The ‘Don’t Judge Me’ singer was originally given a five-year probationary sentence, 180 days of community service and domestic violence counselling after assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown’s new order to complete community service was decided upon at a court hearing in Los Angeles on August 16.

He has been given a choice between removing graffiti, cleaning up highways, clearing rubbish from beaches or general maintenance work.

Chris Brown has a year to perform the community service and is scheduled to appear in court for a progress report on November 20.

His probation will come to an end in August 2014.
