Muse score fourth UK number one album with 'The 2nd Law'

Muse have today scored their fourth consecutive number one album with ‘The 2nd Law.’

The prog-rock trio’s sixth studio effort outsold last week’s number one, Mumford & Sons’ ‘Babel,’ to join ‘Absolution,’ ‘Black Holes & Revelations’ and ‘The Resistance’ on their list of chart-toppers.

Pink’s ‘The Truth About Love,’ and The Killers’ ‘Battle Born’ both held firm inside the Top Five, Emeli Sande's 'Our Version Of Events' climbed to No.5, while The Overtones’ ‘Higher’ debuted inside the Top 10. 

Elsewhere, there were new entries for DJ Fresh's 'Nextlevelism' (No.14), Van Morrison’s 'Born To Sing: No Plan B' (No.15), John Wilson Orchestra’s 'Rodgers & Hammerstein At The Movies' (No.18), Lower Than Atlantis’ 'Changing Tune' (No.25), 'Beth Orton’s 'Sugaring Season' (No.26), Flying Lotus’ 'Until The Quiet Comes' (No.34), Tori Amos’ 'Gold Dust' (No.36) and Papa Roach’s 'The Connection' (No.37). and Flying Lotus’ 'Until The Quiet Comes.'
