The Wanted plan new album release for April

The Wanted have revealed that their new album is set to come out in April next year.

The quintet are currently working on the follow-up to their 2011 record 'Battleground' but it seems their progress has been behind schedule.

Jay McGuiness told Billboard that the album was originally supposed to be unleashed this month but he admitted that it wasn't ready.

However, spring 2013 seems to be the most likely date for release. He said:

"We think April. It was meant to be this Christmas but the album just wasn't ready. We pushed it back and we're thinking about April we'll have something ready. But we're doing a lot of writing in January after the Christmas break so we'll know a lot more then I think."

Speaking about other plans the band have over the next year, bandmate Siva Kaneswaran added: "We're going to sort out a tour, our first world tour [and] we're going to do a bit on TV too."
