UK boyband The Wanted recently made headlines after partying with Lindsay Lohan on the night she was arrested in New York City for alleged assault, but the lads came to her defense and described her as a lovely girl.

It was originally reported that singer Max George had something to do with the altercation that led to Lohan being detained, although he has since denied the claim.

Now, member Jay McGuiness, who wore a 'Free Lindsay' t-shirt recently, has spoken out about the situation to MTV News and described the starlet's fight as "some sort of scuffle with a fortune teller":

"It was very odd. We actually carried on partying after that. It was reported that [the fight] was about Max, but I don't think it actually was. But [Lohan] was a total sweetheart on the night, so our experience is quite positive."
