The X Factor bosses have confirmed that there will be a shocking twist in this week's events as 4 previously eliminated acts will be offered the chance to return. 

Following Frankie Cocozza's sudden departure earlier this week, a gap in the competition has opened up and the show's producers have now decided to offer one of The X Factor's former acts the opportunity to come back and rejoin the contest.

The chosen stars are 16-year-old Amelia Lily, soldier Jonjo Kerr, James Michael and duo 2 Shoes, and an official press release from The X Factor explains that a special phone line will open today (Thursday, November 10), which members of the public will be able to use to give their favourite act a second chance at winning.  

The lucky act will begin their journey again with Saturday's show, November 12, and details of the all-important phone number will be given later this morning.
