X Factor phone vote to close during Saturday's live

The current X Factor judges held a press conference earlier this afternoon (November 10) to talk about the new twist and revealed that they are "excited" to bring one of the previously eliminated acts back to the show.

Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh were in attendance - along with their acts James Michael, 2 Shoes, Amelia Lily and Jonjo Kerr - to explain the situation now that Frankie Cocozza has quit.

They told the press that a phone line will open at 4pm BST today, which the public can use to cast their vote for the act they want to see return to The X Factor and secure themselves a place in the final. It will close on Saturday, November 12 during the live show.

Take That superstar Gary Barlow opened up about Cocozza's decision to leave and said: "I don't think any of us here are guilt-free with Frankie... I'm always on the phone. I just hope he's okay."

"I can't follow Frankie around all week... we've all encouraged Frankie to be bad... I do feel sorry. Frankie was silly. But I'm a parent. He's got to live with this forever, so I feel guilty about that"
