Kitty Brucknell "absolutely devastated" after scheduled G-A-Y performance was ruined

Eliminated contestant Kitty Brucknell was "absolutely devastated" over the weekend after her scheduled performance at London's G-A-Y nightclub was thrown into turmoil.

The X Factor finalist was confirmed to treat club goers to a special live set on Saturday night, November 19, but was disappointed when her voice started "breaking" ahead of her show.

Brucknell had promised fans that she would "put on a show like you've never seen before" at G-A-Y, but during the day of November 19 tweeted:

"Voice still breaking :( I'm really worried don't want to let u down but I don't think I'll be able to perform like this tonight. It's 50/50 tonight whether I will be able to perform at g.a.y nearly in tears don't want to let u down voice is still breaking so much."

After trying home remedies to prevent the night's cancellation, Brucknell had to face the fact that there was no way she could sing and apologised profusely to her followers:

"Absolutely devastated. Feel like I've let everyone who supported me down but theres nothing I can do xx my voice has gone :( Doing G.A.Y was a lifelong dream...I have so much planned for u all xxx"
