Will Young announces forest tour

Will Young has announced a tour of English forests for next summer as part of the UK's Forestry Commission Live Music series.

The 'Come On' singer has said that he is looking forward to this tour, particularly for its unusual settings:

"The forest gigs have a great reputation for their atmosphere so I'm really looking forward to performing my songs in such unique settings".

Plan B has also announced a series of shows in forests across the country. The aim of this is to bring music to its fans without having big branding or sponsorship. All income from the ticket sales will then be spent on improving the woodland areas for visitors.

Tickets for Plan B's forest shows are now on sale and Young's will be available to buy from December 16.

Will Young Forestry Commission Live Music dates 2012:

  • June 15 - Sherwood Pines Forest, Near Edwinstone, Nottinghamshire
  • June 16 - Thetford Forest, Near Brandon, Suffolk
  • June 22 - Westonbirt Arboretum Near Tetbury, Gloucestershire
